Each member is a minister for Christ, and each Christian is called to serve out of her or his own gifts and talents. Whatever your calling - to teach, to encourage, to build, or to comfort - we encourage you to discover your ministry and passion for Christ at NWBC.

We partner with many organizations for ministry. However, our primary partners are the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Cooperating Baptist Fellowship of Oklahoma.

These are exciting times for the Church! And they are challenging times. That's the Gospel tension - the old old story, without which, we are spiritual orphans; and the resurrections, the new things God is doing, new life God is calling forth all around us. We are a people that hold both the old and the new together. It can feel both exciting and scary - but that is our Christian story. It is also what fuels the creative tension of Northwest Baptist Church. We have a rich heritage of Baptist freedom and an attitude of openness to the Holy Spirit seen in thoughtful and experiential worship, blended traditional and contemporary music, ministry marked by compassion and the feel of a large family.

In a time of profound change in the world and in the Church, NWBC is committed to being the presence of Christ in our corner of God's Kingdom. When we aren't in worship on Sunday mornings or in prayer on Wednesday nights, you might find us in the neighborhood hosting a block party or throwing a harvest festival. In the local elementary school serving as mentors with Kid's Hope. With our friends at the Veterans Center or Whispering Oaks Nursing Home teaching Sunday School. Serving our neighbors at the local soup kitchen, delivering Thanksgiving baskets, or sacking and stocking food at the Food & Resource Center. The world is changing and so is the Church. But NWBC is committed to what Eugene Peterson calls A Long Obedience in the Same Direction. We hope you'll join us on this long journey!
